Welcome to the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra!

Founded under the auspices of The Cleveland Orchestra, the Cleveland Orchestra Youth
Orchestra (COYO) was established to provide talented young musicians with a pre-professional orchestral experience of the highest possible artistic standard.

Youth Orchestra members have the benefit of regular coaching by members of The Cleveland Orchestra and work under the music directorship of a member of the conducting staff of The Cleveland Orchestra.  The Youth Orchestra rehearses and performs in Severance Hall, a cultural and architectural landmark.

Wherever possible, the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra is operated in accordance with the custom and practice of a professional orchestra.
